Tinubu campaign posters flood Lagos as traditional rulers call on former Lagos government to run for president

2023 presidential campaign posters All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu swamped Lagos, despite not publicly declaring his intention to run for office.

Tinubu’s posters for the election were seen in many strategic areas of the state including Ojota, Maryland, Ketu Ikeja, Lagos Island, Ikorodu, Ikotun, Igando and Ojuelegba.

A campaign group in support of the former Lagos Governor’s candidacy, Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA’23), has begun its awareness, consultation and mobilization tour of the state.

The group began its sensitization, consultation and mobilization tour in Lagos with a visit to the traditional rulers of Badagry, Ikeja and Lagos divisions to seek their support.

Speaking after meeting traditional rulers from the three divisions of the state, Adeyeye said the group had been strengthened to move forward in its consultations due to positive responses from millions of Nigerians.

According to the National Chairman of SWAGA 23, Tinubu is preferred for the highest service, having demonstrated this ability as a former Governor of Lagos.

Stressing that Tinubu is eminently qualified to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, Adeyeye said the ex-governor will build on his administration’s achievements and inspire new hope in the country’s future.

Adeyeye described Tinubu as a great national asset, a talent scout, a lover of human development, an economic problem solver and a bridge builder.

“We are here to visit traditional leaders as they are a vital part of governance. We are in Badagry yesterday, today we met the monarchs of Ikeja and Lagos divisions,” he said. declared.

SWAGA Lagos Scribe Khafilat Ogbara said the group’s visit to traditional leaders was deliberately aimed at sensitizing, consulting and mobilizing people in different parts of the state ahead of the group’s inauguration in the state.

The monarchs in their response endorsed Tinubu’s candidacy, calling on the APC leader to run for president in 2023.

Among the traditional leaders calling for Tinubu’s candidacy for the presidency were Onigando from Igando, Oba Lasisi Gbadamosi, Ojora from Ijora Land, Fatai Ojora, Oniru from Iruland, Oba Gbolahan Lawal, Elegushi from Ikateland.
