Southold’s second student wins Teeny Award for Outstanding Poster Design

Alexa Feeney, a sophomore at Southold High School, won a Teeny Award for Outstanding Poster Design at the 20th Annual Sunday at Riverhead High School.

Alexa took home the win for the design of the “CHICAGO” production, held in March at the Southold District Auditorium.

For the 20th anniversary, the show featured a wide array of presenters, including Assemblyman Fred Thiele, Toni Munna, founding Teeny Awards coordinator, and several recent Teeny Award winners. The event is coordinated annually by East End Arts.

“While the music, movies, and gas prices may have been unrecognizable since the Teeny Awards began, the enthusiasm and dedication of theater managers, high school actors, stage managers, musicians, entertainers, from the Teeny Awards judges, parents, sponsors, school administrators and volunteers remained unwavering,” said Diane Burke, East End Arts Managing Director, in the program for the event.
