Ms. Marvel Reveals New Posters Featuring Iman Vellani and the Entire Cast
Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, June 8.
With just over a week to go before the series premiere, Marvel Studios has unveiled several new posters focusing on the main characters of the upcoming Disney+ series. Ms. Marvel.
The posters have been revealed on the official website The Marvel Studios Twitter Page and spotlight nine stars of the show, starting with Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) in her full Ms. Marvel costume. The other posters highlight Nakia Bahadir (Yasmine Fletcher), Bruno Carrelli (Matt Lintz), Kamran (Rish Shah), Zoe Zimmer (Laurel Marsden), Kamala’s older brother, Amir (Saagar Sheikh) and his wife, Tyesha (Travina Springer), as well as Kamala’s parents, Muneeba (Zenobia Shroff) and Yusuf (Mohan Kapour). Each poster showcases these characters with vibrant, colorful backgrounds behind them, teasing the series’ playful and rich tone already prevalent in the trailers.
The six-episode series will follow the titular Ms. Marvel who must take flight when she receives powers like the superhero she idolizes, Captain Marvel. Those who’ve seen the early episodes of the fast-approaching coming-of-age story are already praising it, with particular praise for Vellani’s performance in the lead role. In addition to this standalone series, Ms. Marvel is also set to appear in the Captain Marvel sequel movie, Wonderswhich is slated to hit theaters next year, June 2023.
Bisha K. Ali (Sex education, Lokilisten)) is the series creator and serves as the series’ head writer. Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah (bad boys for life) will serve as directors on some of the episodes while the rest of the episodes will be split between Meera Menon (For all mankind), and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Save face).
