Free PS Plus Games April 2022 File Sizes Revealed

The free April 2022 PS Plus games are almost here, and now PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users know how much storage space to reserve.

A new month means a new batch of free PlayStation Plus Claiming games for subscribers, with the April 2022 free PlayStation Plus games set to be available from Tuesday, April 5. While PS Plus subscribers wait for new free games to become available, they can be proactive in making sure they have enough space for the games on their PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.

The PlayStation Game Size Twitter account recently shared the file sizes of free PS Plus games for April 2022. The PS4 version of Hood: Outlaws and Legends will occupy 18.510 GB of space, while the PS5 file size for the game is 16.522 GB. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydratedmeanwhile, occupies 15.857 GB. And finally, kill the arrow is the smallest game to come as part of the April 2022 free PS Plus games lineup, as it’s only around 1GB in size.

Overall, the free April 2022 PS Plus games aren’t huge, especially compared to newer releases. Video game file sizes have increased dramatically in recent years, and it doesn’t look like that trend will be slowing down any time soon, so it’s always nice when games come in smaller sizes.

This is especially true when it comes to downloading games to a PlayStation 5. To upgrade the storage capacity of the PlayStation 5, users need to remove the panels from the system, which may not be something everyone is comfortable doing, with the PS5 still being incredibly rare. and nearly impossible to buy from someone who isn’t a scalper. It’s understandable that some PS5 users don’t want to risk breaking their new console when they try to upgrade their storage, and so they may instead choose to delete and download games as they go.

Of course, it’s not necessary to download all the free April 2022 PS Plus games when they become available. Rather, all PS Plus subscribers have to do is access them in the PlayStation Store and claim them for their libraries. At this point, these games will remain available to PS Plus subscribers for as long as they remain subscribed to the service, free to download at a later date. This is probably the best way to go if one is not planning to play any of the free PS Plus games right away.
