A highly qualified judging panel from across the printing industry evaluated the most of 160 entries from the annual competition in more than 58 categories covering analog, digital, output and non-output technologies. Output devices are judged based on reports generated by measuring color charts and then comparing them to industry specifications.

“This is the only competition I know of that reports the percentage of Adobe RGB a printer can achieve,” said Dawn Nye, Program Manager, Pinnacle Awards, PRINTING United Alliance. “Some of the categories were decided by tenths of a point, so fierce was the competition this year. The Pinnacle Product Award competition represents the best of the best among commercial hardware. Congratulations to Epson on their three wins.
